Deadline: April 6th
Dear National CASA Supporter,
Thank you for your continued engagement seeking Congressional support to fully fund the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. Your outreach made a tremendous impact! After several years at lower appropriation amounts, the CASA program has reached our fully authorized level of $12 million for 2018!
We need your help to maintain this important funding in Fiscal Year 2019! Senators Gary Peters and Johnny Isakson are circulating a Dear Colleague letter asking the Senate Committee on Appropriations to support $12 million in federal funding to continue resources and services including training, program standards, quality assurance, technical assistance, grant funding and resources that utilize evidence-based and trauma informed practices; all helping to ensure that every child in foster care or the court system receives the highest possible quality of services and advocacy.
It will only take a few moments to enter your contact information below and reach out to your Senators, asking them to contact Zephranie Buetow in Senator Peters' Office or Michael Black in Senator Isakson’s Office to sign on to the Senate letter by Friday, April 6th. Please share this alert with your networks so we can show Congress the importance of a caring, consistent adult for every child victim of abuse or neglect in the foster care and court systems. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Thank you very much for your help and support.
